Nothing brings me greater pleasure than sharing a family session like this one. I firstly met Millie when I did her mummy a Samantha a maternity session when she was pregnant with Mason. I know Samantha from school and she was the perfect mummy to be model for me when I was testing out lifestyle sessions prior to setting up my business. Millie is the sweetest little girl and I just knew she would make the best big sister. When mason was born Samantha and Ryan had a ‘at home newborn session’ which was so adorable. Millie was only little at the time and was already being hands on with the big sister duties.

When I decided to do a day of mini sessions I got in contact with Sam to see if she would be interested in a session. It had been a while since I photographed her beautiful family and with Mason being that much older I thought it would be the perfect time to get some lovely photographs of Millie and Mason together.

On arrival Millie was, of course, full of smiles! She is always happy and so kind. She couldn’t wait to have her photograph taken, a total diva too! Both her and Mason looked soooooo adorable in matching colours to create the most perfect winter portrait. It would make the most perfect Christmas gift for the family and a sweet memory to cherish forever.

Mason wasn’t feeling he’s best this Sunday morning, he had a cold and the snuffles and no-one enjoys having to venture out when your not feeling 100%. The session was quicker than my usual 30 minutes, but in that time we successfully managed to get some lovely photographs, of them both looking too! Millies portraits are absolutely stunning and so beautiful. The winters sun was the perfect lighting in the middle of the forest and we found the perfect big log for them to sit on for a joint portrait.

The photos of the two of them are so sweet and say so much. The story of their relationship is portrayed and with some giggles and funny faces from Millie, some tears and sad faces from Mason and it really wouldn’t be a toddler family session without it! I am so pleased with the short time we had, the beautiful moments we was able to capture.

I cannot wait to see these two beautiful faces for another session hopefully soon! The location is The Manor Nature Reserve in Havering which is one of my favourite spots. Its also where Samantha had her maternity session a couple years prior!
